Your source for training and behaviour science

Are you a dog trainer, behaviour consultant, pet professional, or someone interested in learning more about the science of training and behaviour?

With a mix of topics related to behaviour science and discussions with researchers, we’ll discuss how the information can be applied to the work you do.

Increasing our knowledge of science can help us all improve our techniques, methodologies, and our understanding of animals, ultimately improving their welfare.

Janet Cutler, PhD CAAB

Certified Applied Animal Behaviorist

I’m a science nerd who is passionate about getting the science out to improve animal welfare. With an MSc and PhD that combined the fields of ethology (animal behavior), animal welfare, and veterinary epidemiology, I have spent years learning to read, critique, and apply science to training and behaviour.

On a practical side, I’m also a Certified Applied Animal Behaviorist (CAAB) through the Animal Behavior Society, and a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA), and apply the most up-to-date science to work with my clients.

As my goal is to improve the lives of animals (and their humans too!), I believe that translating the science into relatively quick and applicable information bites for trainers and behaviour consultants like you, will benefit the so many more.
